Petroglyphs

I'm not an archeologist. I'm just curious. Some things just don't have an obvious explanation. I’m sure there is one. I would like to go back and ask the Shoshone people why they camped here on this particular ledge. Why leave your mark here? Out of all the places that seem better.

There is a place less than 5 miles away from Moonshine Meadows. This spot where you stand, has large boulders all around you. On these rocks are Indian writings- or petroglyphs.

Each one tells a story it seems. Many don't make any sense. It is mysterious being there, There is a respectful presence there. Something honorable and timeless.

It's an experience I recommend searching for. And it is a short walk from the main road.
