Payment & Cancellation
Payment: Full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking to lock in your reservation.
Cancellations: All cancellations or modifications must be requested directly by phone or email and are subject to owner approval. Guests cannot automatically cancel or process refunds through the online portal.
Non-Refundable Fee: The $3.50 reservation fee is strictly non-refundable.
Camp Guidelines & Property Policies
We are building something peaceful, simple, and low-impact here in Jarbidge Canyon. Thank you for helping us keep it that way.
Atmosphere: Respect the land, the creek, and fellow guests. Alcohol is welcome in moderation.
Quiet Hours & Dark Skies: Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Keep all exterior lighting low to preserve stargazing for everyone.
Safety & Security: No firearms or fireworks are permitted on the property at any time. Avoid glass bottles near camp, kitchen, and creek areas.
Property Care: Carts are provided strictly for hauling gear and supplies, not for riding or play. No motorized vehicles are permitted inside fenced or grassy areas.
Preserve the Meadow: Stay on established paths. Do not cut, nail, or disturb vegetation, and leave natural features—including rocks in the riverbed—as you find them.
Off-Grid Awareness: Conditions in the canyon are rustic and weather can change quickly. Please plan accordingly.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-In: Begins at 3:00 PM. Daylight arrival is strongly recommended due to unlit canyon roads. Download directions beforehand, as cell service drops in the area.
Check-Out: Check-out is strictly at 11:00 AM. Before departing, turn off all lights and heaters, latch doors and canvas flaps, clean communal kitchen gear used, pick up after pets, and pack out all trash.
Late Departures: Unapproved check-outs past 11:30 AM incur an automatic $50/hour late fee charged.
Pet Policy
Dogs are welcome but must remain on a physical leash at all times.
Behavior & Health: All pets must be non-aggressive and up to date on vaccinations. Pets can never be left unattended in camp structures or vehicles.
Furniture & Bedding: Pets must be kept off indoor furniture and bedding.
Waste Cleanup: Owners must immediately pick up, bag, and properly dispose of all pet waste.
Pet Liability: You assume full legal and financial responsibility for any personal injury, structural damage, excessive cleaning needs, wildlife disturbances, or other damage caused by or involving your animals. Damage will be charged to the card on file.
Fire & Cooking
No Ground Fires at Pitches: Open campfires and ground fires are strictly prohibited at individual tent pitches and shelters.
Designated Fire Rings Only: Wood and propane fires are permitted only in the shared meadow fire circles. All wood fires must be pre-approved, remain small, and stay within designated rings.
Outdoor Kitchen: Shared Blackstone griddles, side burners, and wood stoves are available in the central kitchen.
Never Leave Flames Unattended: All cooking burners, propane valves, wood stoves, and open flames must be fully shut down or safely extinguished before leaving the area or turning in for the night.
Burn Bans: During high-risk dry conditions, wood fires may be restricted to propane appliances only.
Leave No Trace & River Care
Pack It In, Pack It Out: Remove all personal trash, food scraps, bottle caps, and micro-debris. Never leave garbage or coolers open or unattended.
Protect the River: Do not wash dishes, use soap, or dump wastewater directly into the creek or river. Use designated wash basins with biodegradable soap only.
Wildlife Protection: Store all food, coolers, and pet food securely in your vehicle or animal-safe storage to prevent wildlife encounters. Never feed wild animals.
Occupancy & Vehicle Limits
Built Shelters: The Geo-Dome, Canvas Safari Tent, and Sheep Camp allow a maximum of 2–4 guests based on unit bed capacity and one vehicle per shelter.
Bring-Your-Own Tent Sites: Maximum 4 guests, 1 vehicle, and 1 large tent (or 2 small 2-person tents) per site. Maintain at least 30 feet of space from neighboring camps.
Extra Vehicles & Trailers: Extra vehicles, off-road rigs, and trailers must be pre-approved and parked strictly in designated overflow areas. Driving on open grassland is prohibited.
Guest Responsibility & Damage
Property Care & Use: Guests agree to maintain the accommodations, structures, furnishings, and property grounds in good condition and report any existing damage upon arrival.
Financial Responsibility: The primary guest registered on the booking assumes full financial and legal responsibility for any physical damage, broken or missing items, excessive mess, structural damage, or wildlife or livestock disturbances caused by anyone in their party or their pets.
Payment Authorization: You explicitly authorize Moonshine Meadows to charge the credit card on file for actual repair costs, replacement value of damaged items, excessive trash removal, remediation for pet waste or furniture damage, or excessive cleaning fees (minimum $150) resulting from your stay.
Assumption of Risk & Liability
Remote & Off-Grid Location
You acknowledge Moonshine Meadows is a remote, off-grid property located in Jarbidge Canyon, Nevada. Due to its secluded geographic location, emergency medical services, search and rescue, and communication channels, including cellular reception, may be limited, delayed, or unavailable. You willingly accept full responsibility for your own safety and the safety of any minors in your care during your time on the property.
Assumption of Inherent Outdoor Risks
You acknowledge that staying at Moonshine Meadows involves exposure to natural and outdoor hazards. You knowingly assume all risks associated with your stay, including but not limited to:
- Water Hazards: Wading, swimming, fishing, or walking along riverbanks, including risks of slip-and-falls, strong river currents, hidden underwater debris, and cold-water shock.

- Accommodations & Off-Grid Amenities: Accommodations, including the Geo-Dome, Canvas Safari Tent, Sheep Camp wagon, and open meadow tent sites, are off-grid structures. You accept responsibility for exercising care when using elevated platforms, steps, tent zippers, wood decking, low-voltage solar lighting, and charging stations.

I agree to strictly abide by all posted property fire regulations:
- No Unauthorized Ground Fires: Ground fires at individual tent pitches are strictly prohibited.
- Communal Cooking & Fire Facilities: I agree to exercise caution when operating or standing near the community wood fire pit, propane fire tables, Blackstone griddle stations, side burners, and the indoor/outdoor wood stoves.

If bringing pets to Moonshine Meadows, I certify that:

Supervision of Minors
If I am accompanied by children or minors (under 18 years of age), I agree to provide continuous, direct supervision at all times—especially around riverbanks, fire pits, cooking stoves, elevated decks, and wildlife areas.
Property Respect & Leave No Trace
I agree to abide by the Pack It In, Pack It Out policy. I will dispose of all trash in designated receptacles or pack it out, respect the 30-foot spacing requirement between camping parties, observe quiet hours, and cause no damage to the meadow, trees, riverbanks, or structures.
Release of Liability & Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Moonshine Meadows, its owners, operators, officers, agents, employees, and property owners from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, property damage, illness, bodily injury, or death that may be sustained by me, my minors, my pets, or my property, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, while on or about the premises.
